Threat generation:
Your threat generation comes from Righteous Fury. The tooltip from Righteous Fury says:
Increases the threat generated by your Holy spells by 60%.
Lets read that again:
Increases the threat generated by your Holy spells by 60%.
And another time:
Increases the threat generated by your HOLY SPELLS by 60%.
see that it doesn't say physical damage? no, it works on holy spells only! So your threat generation doesnt come from your physical damage, but from holy spell damage!!! So if you switch your weapon with 100 dps for that weapon with 40 dps but with a crapload of spell dmg you will generate more threat!!! So get rid of your http://www.wowhead.com/?item=29362 and buy your http://www.wowhead.com/?item=32963 today!!! Get the shield with spell dmg from the SSO vendor instead of the other one.
This is the most common fault made by pally tanks. they choose prot war gear over prot pala gear. Dont make that mistake. Of course prot war gear has more dmg mitigation, stamina etc. and sometimes you have to choose them over spell dmg gear, but that doesnt mean you should totally cut your threat generation.

the pally taunt costs 100-200 mana. pallies receive 8% mana from your heals. Make sure your pally tank always has 200 mana so he can taunt. Even if that means you have to overheal.
